Nurture Lab

About this Lab:
The Nurture Lab focuses on the earliest foundations of human development, where safety, connection, and the beginnings of compassion take root. The ESF Framework emphasises that early relational experiences shape the lifelong patterning of values, motivations, and worldviews, influencing how individuals learn to trust themselves, others, and the wider world.
This Lab explores how families, carers, and communities can create environments that strengthen the seven levels of flourishing from the very beginning - helping children grow with emotional security, a sense of belonging, and the natural capacity to care. It supports approaches that nurture early wellbeing, restore relationship based patterns, and prevent avoidable harms that limit future potential. In doing so, the Nurture Lab contributes to healthier communities across generations.
Entry Questions:
- How do current wellbeing policies translate into system-wide flourishing?
- What does it mean to govern for both people and planet?
- How do we measure what we treasure?
Invite policymakers to explore ESF as a meta-framework for wellbeing governance, connecting ecological, cultural, economic, and human indicators. Reference the UN Future Generations commitment as a living precedent.
